I think a ghost took me to his penthouse apartment.
Some context - this happened a couple years back. I live in a pre-war building in a big city. It is, I believe 15 floors high or so. The highest floor is labeled “PH” on the elevator. I live on the 9th floor. I went in the elevator alone, pressed the button as I always do, and remember it lighting up like usual. The elevator then proceeded to go up….and up….and up….and completely PASSED my floor. The 9th floor button was still lit up though. 10…11…12… I am paralyzed in shock and fear (I am scared of elevators) and I inwardly imagine if the elevator just kept going and crashed into the roof of the building. It goes up to 14, and then it says PH. The doors open. I am met with the most peculiar scene. I literally have stepped into someone’s apartment. I’m in some sort of foyer, and I see hooks with some baseball caps. I glance into another room whose door was slightly ajar and see a kitchen, and there’s a small bathroom in front of me. But none of that is as odd as the piece of paper tape...
